NOW OR NEVER FOR MAURICE STEIJN

AFC Ajax: a side decorated in rich history, four Champions Leagues, 36 Eredivisie titles, the list is endless. However this season the Dutch giants haven't been their usual selves.
The appointment of Maurice Steijn raised a few eyebrows initially, purely because his tactics at Sparta Rotterdam didn't suit the "Ajax way". Steijn was expected to play free-flowing, possession-based football at Ajax, which is a total contrast to the way he set up at Rotterdam.
However, Ajax are currently 16th and preparing to face bottom of the league FC Utrecht on Sunday. Neither side have kept a clean sheet in their last five games, Utrecht haven't scored in their last three games either.
For Ajax it's a must win game and for Maurice Steijn it's now or never in terms of his time at the club, the fans want him out of Amsterdam as they believe he doesn't know what he's doing. I spoke to some fans via the INMR Discussion Page, who aren't enjoying their teams campaign so far. After being asked how he thinks Ajax will set up against Utrecht on Sunday, Johan Van Der Meer (20) said: "I don't know. It seems like there is no plan, it's a mess."
Lisa Jansen (36) said: "It hurts to be an Ajax fan at this point" when describing her experience so far this season. Ajax have beaten Utrecht in their previous three meetings, maybe on Sunday they can get three points to put them back on track.
