Vincent Kompany's Burnley crushed relegation rivals Sheffield United 5-0, which is the clubs biggest ever victory in the Premier League.

Jay Rodriguez opened the scoring in just 15 seconds with a diving header past Wes Foderingham. That was just the start of Burnley's demolishing of the Blades, Jacob Bruun Larsen doubled the lead on the half hour mark. Things got even worse before half time as Sheffield United went down to 10 men following Ollie McBurnie's dismissal.

Zeki Amdouni got a goal and an assist in two minutes as his teammate Luca Koleosho got his first Premier League goal. Moments later Josh Brownhill got the fifth and final goal of the match with 10 minutes remaining, securing their first home win of the season in some style.

The helpless Sheffield United have been leap-frogged by the Clarets in the league table, they now sit bottom on just five points. Manager Paul Heckingbottom's role at the club is under jeopardy, with former boss Chris Wilder the favourite to take over in the near future.
